Our Specials programs provide students with opportunities to explore their interests, discover new talents, and grow as well-rounded individuals. Through experiences in the arts, technology, language, and physical activity, students build confidence, creativity, and essential life skills—while developing a deeper connection to their learning.

Library & Technology

Our Library and Technology programs work together to help students become independent learners and thoughtful digital citizens.
In the Library, students develop a love of reading while building research and information literacy skills, learning how to explore, evaluate, and use information with confidence.
Through Technology, students gain hands-on experience with digital tools, building skills in research, collaboration, and digital responsibility. Beginning in the early grades and progressing through middle school, students become comfortable and capable using both iPads and Chromebooks.

Music
Finding Confidence Through Performance Beginning in PreK and continuing through Grade 8, our Music program gives every student the opportunity to learn, perform, and express themselves through music. Students explore rhythm, melody, and basic music theory while participating in engaging activities that support both musical and social-emotional development. Performance is an important part of the experience, with students in Grades 1–4 participating in a cherished annual Christmas Concert. |
Art
Creativity in Every Student Our Art program, offered from PreK through Grade 8, nurtures creativity and self-expression while introducing students to the foundations of visual arts. Students explore a variety of mediums and techniques, allowing them to experiment, take creative risks, and develop their unique artistic voice. Along the way, they build an appreciation for the fine arts and take pride in the work they create. |

Spanish
Building Language & Cultural Awareness OLA introduces Spanish beginning in Grade 1, giving students a strong foundation in language learning and global awareness. Through our partnership with Sarah’s Spanish School, students engage in an immersive, interactive approach that makes learning a new language both engaging and effective. Lessons focus on listening, speaking, and comprehension. In the early grades, students develop vocabulary and conversational skills through songs, stories, and interactive activities. As they progress, instruction expands to include grammar, reading, and writing—strengthening their ability to communicate in Spanish. |
Physical Education
Active Bodies. Healthy Habits. Our Physical Education program promotes fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a fun and supportive environment. From PreK through Grade 8, students participate in activities that build coordination, strength, and confidence while learning the importance of respect, perseverance, and healthy habits. Students must wear their gym uniform on assigned PE days. |
