The Sacrament of Reconciliation is a healing sacrament and enables each student to reestablish his/her relationship with Christ. It is in the Sacrament of Reconciliation that we let go of all that is holding us down and we break the walls that separate us from Christ. The children of Our Lady of the Assumption are brought together to receive this sacrament several times throughout the school year. This teaches the children that maintaining a relationship with Christ is important and gives them the strength to grow and follow the path of truth.

First Penance

Our second graders celebrate receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation. They prepare and practice during class. The sacrament usually takes place on a Saturday morning in November
