Ignite. Transcend. Educate for Life.
At Our Lady of the Assumption School, we nurture the hearts, minds, and spirits of every child. Guided by faith and rooted in academic excellence, our community inspires students to learn with purpose, lead with compassion, and serve with joy.
Serving Preschool through Grade 8, OLA provides a strong foundation where faith and knowledge grow hand in hand.
Founded in 1961 by the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia, Our Lady of the Assumption School was the lifelong dream of Monsignor John J. Linnehan. What began as a small school for grades 1–4 has flourished into a vibrant community of learners. Over the decades, OLA has expanded its programs — adding Kindergarten in 1972, a Preschool program in 2001 with the opening of the St. Francis Center, and dedicated art and music rooms in 2009. Today, we continue to grow with the addition of a full-day preschool program for 3-year-olds, enriching our mission to educate the whole child.
“Good, better, best. Never let it rest,
'til your good is better and your better is best.”
